Year 3 Topic
Year 3 have been studying the Ancient Egyptians. Today, we were creating papyrus paper and even had a go at writing our names in hieroglyphics.
Year 3 Science lesson
Year 3 have been looking at rocks and fossils in their Science lessons over the past week. We created our own fossils to look at.
Year 2 Trip
Year 2 had a fantastic day on their Spirit of Sherwood trip. We learned lots about how Christmas was celebrated in the past and met a special person in the forest!
More Stone Age work in Year 3
Year 3 have been creating Stone Age round houses. The children did some research on the different types of homes the Stone Age people had. They looked at the round house in more detail and identified what materials they needed to use.
Year 3 Stone Age Day
The children enjoyed creating cave painting, being archaeologists, learning some Stone Age songs, investigating what Stone Age people ate and creating some jewellery. What a fun day!
Grand Easter Raffle
Year 3 will be running a Grand Easter Raffle throughout March, tickets will be available from the Office after half term or from the Year 3 staff. All proceeds raised from the concert, cakes, raffle, bric a brac will go towards the cost of the Year 3 Residential.
