Foundation Police Visit

Our Foundation Stage children had an exciting visit from the Police. They had the opportunity to discuss what the police do on a day to day basis and looked at their equipment and uniform.

Butterfly release

F2H recently released their butterflies after watching them grow from caterpillars. The other classes will be releasing theirs once they have hatched out of the cocoons.

New bikes

From the money raised at the Easter Bounceabout day, we have been able to buy the Foundation children some new bikes and trikes.

Year 2 Volcanoes

Last half term, Year 2 learnt about Japan. In Art, they designed and made volcanoes. To finish their Topic, they erupted their volcanoes by mixing vinegar and bicarbonate of soda. The children had an amazing time and all thoroughly enjoyed erupting their volcanoes.

Year 2 Trip

The children in Year 2 had a great time at the Wild World Animal Education Centre. They all had the opportunity to hold a wide range of animals and learn more about animals and their habitats to support their learning in Science.

Year 4 Tie-dying

Year 4 experimented with tie dyed white t-shirts. We did this because our topic is South America, in particular Carnivals. We have been looking at Carnival costumes and headdresses and thought we would join in with festivities.

F2 Caterpillars

In our topic ‘The Only Way is Up!’ we are learning about lifecycles and growing. We have all had a very special delivery to our classes…caterpillars! We can’t wait to watch them grow in to beautiful butterflies.

Foundation Two Italian Day

While the rest of the year group enjoyed their visit to Pizza Express, the other half of the year group had an Italian Day. They collaged an Italian flag, created their own shape pizza’s and building, learnt the language and tested their own leaning towers of Pisa’s. They had a brilliant time!
