Our Specialist SEN Provision

The Hub is our nurturing and inclusive Special Educational Needs (SEN) base, designed to provide individual support for pupils who require additional help to access learning and thrive within school life.

Realising Potential

At The Sir Donald Bailey Academy we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential. The Hub provides a safe, supportive, and structured environment where children can develop confidence, independence, communication skills, emotional regulation, and academic success at a pace that meets their individual needs.

Our experienced staff work closely with pupils, families, teachers, and external professionals to deliver personalised support programmes that address a wide range of needs, including cognition and learning, communication and interaction, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH), and sensory or physical needs.

The Wider Community

Children accessing The Hub remain an important part of our wider school community, joining their peers for lessons, enrichment opportunities, educational visits, assemblies, and social activities where appropriate. This flexible approach ensures that pupils receive specialist support while maintaining a strong sense of belonging and inclusion.

At The Hub, we celebrate every achievement, however small, and strive to ensure that all children feel valued, understood, and successful. Through high expectations, specialist support, and a nurturing approach, we help pupils build the skills and confidence they need for both school and life beyond.
