Music in Year 2
Music in year 2 has been fun this half term. We have been learning all about pitch using a song called The Nosey Dog. We created our own pitch lines in response to the music.
Poetry in Year 2
Year 2 had a lovely morning learning all about poetry. We started to think about animal poetry and chose our favourite ones to read aloud to the class.
WBD 2020
Year 2 loved having their parents and siblings in to read with them at the end of a fabulous world book day!
The continents of the world
Year 2 are continuing to learn about the continents of the world and Daisy kindly brought in her globe to show the children. We were all really excited!
Year 2 Visit from a Vet
Year 2 have had a lovely afternoon with Annie the vet with Whizz learning about how to look after animals.
Year 2 Topic
To launch their topic in Science, the children have been learning all about whether things are living, non-living or dead.
Zephyr takes flight
Year 2 have been reading a great story called ‘Zephyr takes flight’ written by Steve Light. We have been learning all about the 4 sentence types and today we did some hot seating. The children loved asking Zephyr questions and we had some great responses!
