Closing the educational achievement gap remains a pressing national priority. The 2016 White Paper, Educational Excellence Everywhere, is built on the principles of ensuring equality and excellence for all children, and rightly demands the opportunity for all pupils to reach their full potential.
We have joined the Adastra Primary Partnership to support the research in this field.
The Adastra Primary Partnership at present consists of 8 schools – two primary academies, four primary schools, one junior and one infant school. However, it is set to expand to bring in other schools who share the same challenge and also the expertise of increasing progression and narrowing attainment gap, with a particular focus on increasing the opportunities for future success in education and employment.
The group are involved in conducting a number of action research projects, with the support of Bishop Grosseteste University.
